  • All of your lectures will be online, and you can complete them any time day or night.
  • You will then meet online with your classmates and instructor twice per week for questions and real-world projects.
  • Tests and assessments will not just be open-book, they will be open-world, just like the real world.
  • Upon completion of the Data Visualization course, you will be prepared to complete the Tableau Specialist Certification.

Secure 6 Credits in the Fall Term

For current Widener undergraduate students, the course codes are the following: Introduction to Applied Data Analytics (UIS 110) and Data Visualization with Tableau (UIS 120).

If you are a grad student, alumni, or a non-degree seeking student, the course codes are Introduction to Applied Data Analytics (ODL 510) and Data Visualization with Tableau (ODL 520).

The two-course Widener Data Analytics Program is offered in the fall term. The program starts with Intro to Applied Data Analytics in fall term 1 (8/24/20 - 10/11/20). Data Visualization with Tableau is offered in fall term 2 (10/19/20 - 12/4/20).

You can register for these courses concurrently; however, Intro to Applied Data Analytics is a pre-requisite to Data Visualization. Exceptions can be made. Speak to your Program Advisor to learn more.

Lectures are online and can be completed any time of day or night, but you will need to stay on track with the other Widener University students. Additionally, you will be required to attend virtual LiveLabs with your classmates weekly. The LiveLab sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm - 8:30pm ET.

Twice a week, you will participate in a face-to-face, online session with your instructor and classmates to discuss project work and provide Q&A on the previous lectures.

You will have access to an on-demand online tutor, a coach to make sure you stay on track, a peer pod for group work, and weekly live discussions.

No, these courses are designed for all backgrounds, majors, industries, and tech foundational levels. Rather than starting your courses in theory, your courses will start with a focus on real world application, using tools that remove complexity. These courses are not just “open note”; they are “open everything”, just like the real world.

This course will require you to have access to a computer, stable high-speed internet, and a webcam. We highly recommend utilizing headphones with an integrated microphone as well to ensure the best experience.

For undergraduates, the full program is $3,708 or $1,854 per 3 credit hour course ($618/credit). For graduate and visiting students, the full program is $4,800 or $2,400 per 3 credit hour course ($800/credit).

Payment plans, employer-sponsored tuition reimbursement, and employer partnership designated discount options are available. For additional details, please email advisor@bootcamp.widener.edu.
